The Wildco 3-14-D40 Gravelometer Field Sieve is a lightweight, handheld particle-sizing tool used to measure and classify gravel and small cobble-sized streambed sediments during field surveys. Also known as a gravel template or pebble meter, it is widely used in fluvial geomorphology, fisheries habitat assessments, hydrology and stream restoration projects. The gravelometer features 14 square openings representing standard ½-phi sieve classes, allowing rapid and accurate measurement of particles ranging from 2 mm to 180 mm without the need for bulky laboratory sieves.

Constructed from durable 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) aluminium, the Wildco Gravelometer is designed for years of field use in demanding outdoor environments. A 310 mm graduated measuring scale along one edge provides additional flexibility for measuring larger stones. The instrument meets USGS sediment classification standards, making it an ideal tool for stream substrate analysis, spawning habitat evaluations, watershed monitoring and environmental research.
