The FBK3 Fish Basket is a durable, heavy-duty fish handling basket designed for harvesting, transporting and temporarily holding live fish in hatcheries, aquaculture facilities and fisheries operations. Manufactured from high-strength moulded plastic, the basket features a thickened base with integrated drain holes, a tapered nestable designand moulded-in carrying handles that provide superior strength, durability and ease of handling. Its rugged construction withstands daily use in demanding freshwater and marine environments while helping minimise stress during fish transfer operations.
Measuring 19 in. (48 cm) in diameter at the top and 17 in. (43 cm) high, the FBK3 offers ample capacity for handling trout, salmon, char and other cultured fish species. The basket is rated to safely carry 40 lb (18 kg) during transport and can physically support 75–80 lb (34–36 kg) when stationary. Approximately 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) drain holes in the sides and bottom provide rapid drainage and excellent water circulation, making the FBK3 an excellent choice for hatcheries, stocking programmes, grading operations and aquatic research.
