The Wildco® 1140-C42 is the Alpha™ Vertical Water Sampler Kit featuring a 4.2 L transparent acrylic bottle. This Van Dorn-style sampler is designed for collecting representative water samples from a specific depth in lakes, reservoirs, rivers, estuaries, and marine environments. The vertical design allows unrestricted water flow during descent, making it particularly well suited for collecting water, plankton, floating sediments, and suspended solids with minimal disturbance. The kit includes the bottle, messenger, sampling line, and carrying case.

4.2 Litre Capacity
Kit Includes SBK2 messenger, 62-C15 line (100 ft.) and Carrying Case.
The body is made from transparent acrylic that allows you to view the bottle contents immediately. Alpha samplers are not suitable for chemical analysis of contents due to the potential for contamination (i.e. by mercury and phosphorus) by the materials in the sampler's construction. For chemical analysis, inquire about the Beta or suggested Kemmerer water samplers. This sampler requires a messenger and line (not included, except in kits) for operation. A thermometer can be mounted inside acrylic Alpha™ bottles.
