Ammonia Alert
Product Code: AM10
The Seachem Ammonia Alert™ is a continuous ammonia monitoring sensor that detects free ammonia (NH₃) in freshwater and marine aquariums. Unlike liquid test kits that require periodic sampling, the Ammonia Alert remains inside the aquarium and continuously changes color to indicate the concentration of toxic free ammonia. Because it measures free ammonia (NH₃) rather than total ammonia (NH₃ + NH₄⁺), it provides a more accurate indication of the ammonia that is harmful to fish.

The sensor changes color according to the concentration of free ammonia:
| Color | Approximate NH₃ Level | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | 0.02 ppm | Safe |
| Green | 0.05 ppm | Alert |
| Blue-Green | 0.20 ppm | Alarm |
