Product Code: 7141-104

The Whatman™ 7141-104 is a sterile, hydrophilic mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membrane filter designed for microbiological analysis, particle retention, and routine laboratory filtration. Manufactured from a blend of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, the membrane provides a smooth, uniform surface with excellent flow characteristics and high recovery of microorganisms. The 47 mm diameter, 0.45 µm pore size, and printed grid make it ideal for membrane filtration techniques used in water quality testing, environmental monitoring, food and beverage analysis, and pharmaceutical quality control. The membranes are gamma irradiated for sterility and individually separated with absorbent pads for convenient handling.

  • Mixed cellulose ester membrane provides excellent flow rates and particle retention.
  • Printed grid facilitates accurate colony counting and microbial enumeration.
  • Hydrophilic membrane wets easily for aqueous sample filtration.
  • Sterile, gamma-irradiated membranes are ready for microbiological applications.
  • High contrast between membrane and colonies reduces eye fatigue during counting.
  • Uniform pore structure promotes consistent filtration performance.
  • Biologically inert with no surfactants to interfere with analytical results.
  • 47 mm Diameter, 0.45 µm Pore Size. Package of 100 Membranes.
