The ABW-18 Aluminum Baitwell Net is a lightweight, durable net designed for transferring and handling live baitfish and other small aquatic organisms. Its all-aluminium frame and 18-inch aluminium handle provide a strong, corrosion-resistant construction that is well suited to use in bait tanks, livewells, hatcheries, aquaculture facilities and field sampling applications.
The ABW-18 features a 7 x 8½-inch rectangular hoop, a 7-inch-deep net bag and 3/16-inch mesh, providing a practical combination of water flow and fish retention. Net Saver® plastic guard helps protect the mesh from abrasion where it contacts the frame, extending the useful life of the net. Stainless steel hardware makes the net suitable for both freshwater and saltwater applications.
The compact design makes the ABW-18 particularly useful where manoeuvrability is important, including livewells, bait tanks, fish hatchery tanks and aquaculture systems. It can also be used as a small hatchery dip net for transferring fish between holding containers.
