The Wildco® 196-B15 Standard Ekman Bottom Grab is a lightweight stainless steel sediment sampler designed for collecting quantitative and qualitative benthic samples from soft-bottom aquatic environments. It is widely used by limnologists, environmental scientists, fisheries biologists, and sediment monitoring programs to collect undisturbed samples of mud, silt, ooze, and other fine sediments. It is not recommended for coarse sand, gravel, rocky bottoms, or areas with dense aquatic vegetation.

- Overlapping scoop jaws minimize sample loss during retrieval.
- Spring-loaded closing mechanism captures relatively undisturbed sediment samples.
- Hinged top covers open during descent to reduce resistance and close during retrieval to minimize washout.
