The Hanna HI7021L ORP Test Solution is a 240 mV oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) standard at 25°C used to check the performance and accuracy of platinum and gold ORP electrodes. To test an ORP electrode, immerse the clean electrode in the HI7021L solution and allow the reading to stabilize. At 25°C, the expected value is 240 mV. Hanna's current U.S. specifications indicate that the electrode reading should be within approximately ±20 mV of the nominal value. If the reading falls outside the expected range, the electrode may require cleaning, conditioning, or replacement.
