The Hanna HI98713 ISO Portable Turbidity Meter is a high-accuracy portable turbidimeter designed for water-quality testing and environmental monitoring, particularly where accurate measurements at low turbidity levels are important. The HI98713 measures turbidity from 0.00 to 1000 FNU using an infrared optical system that meets and exceeds the requirements of the ISO 7027 method.
The HI98713 uses a ratio nephelometric measurement method with both 90° scattered-light and 180° transmitted-light detectors. An 860 nm infrared LED provides the light source, while the optical system is designed to minimize stray light and color interference for stable, repeatable measurements.
The meter provides normal, continuous, and signal-averaging measurement modes, allowing users to select the appropriate measurement approach for different water samples and field conditions. Automatic range selection provides resolutions of 0.01 FNU, 0.1 FNU, or 1 FNU, depending on the turbidity level.
