The LaMotte #4488 is a calibrated replacement test tube with cap designed for LaMotte water-hardness testing kits. It has marked fill lines for measuring water samples at different concentrations, allowing results to be calculated in parts per million (ppm) as calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) or grains per gallon (gpg), depending on the fill line used. It is supplied with compatible LaMotte total-hardness and calcium/magnesium-hardness kits.
