The Vexilar LPS-1 Handheld Digital Depth Sonar is a compact, portable depthsounder designed for quickly measuring water depth or the distance to underwater objects. Simply place the transducer end in the water, point it toward the bottom or target, and activate the unit. The digital depth reading is displayed for approximately 10 seconds before the unit automatically shuts off, helping conserve battery power.
The LPS-1 uses a built-in 200 kHz, 22-degree transducer and measures depths from 1.8 to 200 feet. Its small size and lightweight design make it useful for fishing, canoeing, remote lakes, ice fishing, float tubing, scuba diving and other applications where a conventional depth sounder is impractical.
The unit is waterproof to 150 feet, floats, and operates from a single 9-volt battery. Its backlit display also allows depth readings to be viewed in low-light conditions.
