The HawkEye DT1H DepthTrax Handheld Depth Finder is a compact, portable sonar instrument designed for quickly measuring water depth and detecting fish. Its DepthTrax® Intelligent Sonar uses acoustic pulses to determine depth and interpret underwater returns, providing convenient readings without requiring a permanently installed transducer.
The DT1H provides depth readings from 2.5 to 300 feet (0.7–91.5 m) with readings displayed in 1/10-foot increments. In addition to depth, the unit can display real-time water or air temperature and fish readings. The backlit LCD makes the display easier to read in low-light conditions, while the waterproof housing allows the instrument to be used directly around the water.
The transducer is incorporated into the handheld unit. Simply place the transducer end in the water and activate the instrument to obtain depth, temperature and fish information. The DT1H can be used from shorelines, docks, boats, canoes, kayaks and float tubes, and can also be used through suitable boat hulls.
