Product Code: HI9147-10
The Hanna HI9147 Portable Dissolved Oxygen Meter is a rugged, water-resistant galvanic dissolved oxygen (DO) meter designed for accurate dissolved oxygen measurement in environmental, aquaculture, wastewater, and other water-quality applications. The HI9147 measures dissolved oxygen from 0.0 to 50.0 mg/L (ppm) and 0 to 600% saturation, while also measuring temperature from -5.0 to 50.0°C.
The HI9147 uses a galvanic dissolved oxygen probe with a replaceable HDPE membrane. Oxygen passes through the permeable membrane and produces an electrical current proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration. The built-in thermistor provides automatic temperature compensation, while adjustable salinity compensation allows the meter to be used in freshwater, brackish water, and seawater.
A manual one-point calibration is performed in air-saturated water or saturated air, and the meter provides altitude compensation for elevations up to 4,000 m. Salinity compensation can be adjusted from 0 to 51 g/L (ppt), making the HI9147 particularly useful for aquaculture and marine water-quality applications.
