Three measurements, one pocket-sized pen. The HI98311 DiST®5 reads electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids and temperature in a single dip — no swapping between meters for routine water checks.

The housing is fully sealed against moisture and designed to float, so a drop in the tank or off the dock isn't a lost meter. A stainless steel encapsulated temperature sensor gives fast, accurate temperature readings and drives automatic temperature compensation on every EC and TDS measurement.

Calibration is automatic and single-point — dip in 1413 µS/cm standard, and the meter handles the rest. Both the TDS conversion factor and the β temperature coefficient are user-adjustable, so you can match the meter to your specific water chemistry and reporting convention rather than accepting a fixed factory assumption.
