The MQuant® Formaldehyde Test Strips 1.10036.0001 provide a fast, reliable and economical method for the semi-quantitative determination of formaldehyde (HCHO) in aqueous solutions. Using a simple colourimetric reaction, the test strips allow users to measure formaldehyde concentrations by comparing the developed test strip colour to the supplied colour chart. The kit is designed for rapid field and laboratory testing, delivering results in approximately 60 seconds without the need for specialised instrumentation.
The MQuant® Formaldehyde Test is suitable for monitoring disinfectant solutions, industrial process water, laboratory samples and environmental water where formaldehyde is present. Each kit includes 100 test strips, reagent and a colour comparison scale covering 10, 20, 40, 60 and 100 mg/L HCHO. The method is based on the reaction of formaldehyde with 4-amino-3-hydrazino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole, producing a purple-red tetrazine that is evaluated visually.
