Split Messenger for Wildco Bottom Grabs and Water Samplers

The Wildco® Split Messenger is a precision 316 stainless steel messenger weight used to activate Wildco bottom grab samplers and water samplers at a selected depth. Unlike a conventional solid messenger that must be threaded onto the end of the line, the split messenger features a spring-loaded split barrel that opens with one hand and can be attached anywhere along the sampling line after the sampler has reached the desired depth. When released, the messenger slides down the line and trips the sampler's release mechanism, ensuring accurate depth-specific sampling. It is the standard messenger supplied with many Wildco® water samplers and sediment sampling kits.
