The Hach 24089-32 Sodium Thiosulfate Standard Solution is a stabilized 0.0109 N sodium thiosulfate titrant supplied in a 100 mL MDB (Marked Dropping Bottle). It is used primarily for the determination of dissolved oxygen (DO) in water samples using the Winkler and modified Winkler titration procedures.
The solution is an important component of Hach's dissolved oxygen testing systems. In the Hach Dissolved Oxygen Kit, the titrant is added dropwise during the final titration stage until the sample reaches the endpoint. Hach specifies that the 0.0109 N solution is used for dissolved oxygen ranges of approximately 0.2–4 mg/L and 1–20 mg/L, depending on the applicable modified Winkler procedure.
