The Wildco 16-C55 Replacement Hess Net is a replacement Nitex® mesh net with 500 µm mesh designed for use with the Wildco Hess sampler. It provides a convenient replacement when the original sampling net becomes worn or damaged, allowing the Hess sampler to remain in service without replacing the complete unit. The 16-C55 is intended for benthic invertebrate and aquatic organism sampling in streams, rivers and other freshwater environments.
The 500 µm mesh provides effective retention of aquatic macroinvertebrates while allowing fine sediment and water to pass through the net. It is well suited to fisheries and aquatic ecology programmes where consistent mesh size is important for repeatable sampling and comparison between sites.
